AECOM is currently seeking a Millwright Journeyman to join our CNRL Albian project team for the 2020 Spring Turnaround Season.
This is a temporary role , supporting the site operations on various tasks relating to the turnaround of the Albian Plant. Rotation will be 6 days on, 1 day off unless otherwise specified.
Start Dates: Early July, 2020
Approximate duration: 4-6 weeks
Location: Fort McMurray Area
Travel: Charter flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton , and bus from Fort McMurray
Accommodation: Camp accommodation will be provided to all workers
Shift : Day Shift and Night Shift available.
Overtime Eligibility: All craft will be eligible for overtime
CLAC Union agreement in place; with competitive rates
Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.
Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments.
Perform predictive and operational procedures.
Repair or replace defective parts.
Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a journeyman welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.

For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Certified Journeyman and or holds a valid recognized credential.
CSTS-09 (Construction Safety Training Systems) or PST (Petroleum Safety Training).
CSE (Confined Space Entry).
Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket is the general requirement).
Overhead Crane ticket.
AWP (Ariel Work Platform).
A valid Class 1 or Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
