As a Regional Business Line Leader, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the West Region Project and Program Management (PPM) business line, accountable for setting and delivering business strategies across multiple PPM market sectors, staff development objectives, and financial outcomes.
Additionally, you will be a standing member of the Regional Risk Committee (RRC) and provide subject matter expertise for the planning, pricing, resourcing, and risk management to all West Region business lines pursuing and delivering design-build, design to budget, and EPC type projects.
Provides strategic direction to region PPM management team and implements DCSA strategic plans and objectives within the assigned geographies.
Accountable for region PPM P&L including revenue generation, project margin achievement, DSO, G&A management, project delivery, client satisfaction, staff utilization, safety, claims resolution and quality.
Continuously interacts with current clients and project delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction and timely identification and resolution of client service issues.
Leads multi-discipline team and is directly responsible for the region PPM business development activities, including but not limited to marketing: market sector and key client account strategies; opportunity pipeline; project go/no decisions and win strategies; project bid and proposal development; and management of associated BD spend to budget.
Builds on strong relationships and interacts regularly with existing and new clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders linked to the practice and business line profitable growth and performance
Continuously works to understand AECOM capability gaps and identify key hires to strengthen our offering.
Ensures the success and growth of the region PPM business through strong collaboration with other regions PPM RBLLs.
Informs the decision process to pursue design-build/alternative delivery projects and supports the associated planning, resourcing (selection the team and sub consultants), pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Sign off authority on all JVs, contract terms, pricing, and staffing associated with Design-Build, Design to budget, and EPC risks.
Participates in the development of overall region’s annual growth and business development strategy in collaboration with other region business line leaders, market sector leaders and account managers.
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Minimum 20 years progressive experience, with at least 10 years focused on the positioning/pursuing, winning, and delivery of integrated delivery projects
Proven direct experience in Project Managing complex design-build and design bid build projects with a minimum capital value of $100M, utilizing Project Management Body of Knowledge practices
Demonstrates creativity/innovation, foresight and mature judgment
Seen as an industry thought leader in your sector
Possesses commercial acumen with ability to lead, manage, and develop a diverse team
Demonstrated track record of delivering planned results in terms of risk assessment and mitigation, quality of service, timeliness, profitability, and business growth.
Demonstrable team building and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address major client needs and challenges
Extensive existing client relationships in the assigned geographies, with demonstrated ability to assess markets and expand key client relationships leading to new business
A skilled communicator who can resolve difficult negotiations with internal and external client leadership and invests in building constructive relationships, sharing relevant knowledge, and being seen as a collaborative team player.
MS is plus
PE, PMP, DBIA, certifications preferred
