AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern to be based in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

This position is expected to begin in July 2020.
This position will involve planning and project development activities for transportation projects under supervision under a senior staff.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.
Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, roadway network, crash records, and asset inventories.
Utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze data and prepare detailed maps for use in reports.
Conducts concept level evaluation of transportation improvement options.
Documents and presents findings on transportation planning projects.
Researches current transportation related topics at local, State, and Federal levels.
Researches project options and documents findings
Assists with other duties assigned by senior staff and/or Project Managers.
Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning with an interest in Transportation or other related fields.
Must have completed two years of study in the applicable program.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Online
Basic knowledge of transportation planning topics
