AECOM is seeking a Configuration Management Project Engineer, this position will have overall responsibility for the design and coordination of technical issues among various disciplines on transportation projects involving highways, bridges and transit/rail structures and facilities.
The position is responsible for the development, implementation of, and sustaining the Configuration Management (CM) Plan for the LIRR Grand Central Terminal (GCT), tunnels, wayside facilities and Midday Storage Yard; including all LIRR GCT Systems and Assets. This includes addressing configuration interfaces and revisions, ensuring version control, numbering and naming conventions, and release management are maintained. Ensure that related processes, tools, policies and procedures are in place to address Configuration Management streamlined with the LIRR Engineering Department and ultimately across LIRR operating department(s).Must possess Configuration Management experience, knowledge and understanding including version control, design configuration, and change control.
Responsibilities include: organizing, retrieving, Product Version Information (PVI’s), hardware and software configuration and version control. Utilize the East Side Access Unifier Document Control program to coordinate the review, approval and distribution processes for newly controlled documents and revisions to existing documents, identification and removal of obsolete documents, maintenance of all controlled documents and their revision status.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: OSHA 30 hour certificate
Experience in transportation projects and mass transit facilities.
Knowledge and experience with projects in the New York area.
