SAIC is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to
support the Common Submarine Radio Room (CSSR) program in North Charleston, SC.
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and
coordination of the day to day activities of personnel engaged in inspection of
incoming Customer Acquired Material (CAM) Mounting Kit Assemblies, fabricated
materials, Government Furnished Equipment and electrical cabling to ensure
adherence to industry quality standards and Government approved drawings and
specifications: Writes, updates or oversees process, inspection and
testing procedures as required for continued improvement of deliverables
to the customer. Liaisons with vendors, suppliers and the customer to
resolve non-conformance issues with supplied materials.
65%: Material and Cabling Inspection:
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to understand the requirements of supplied materials.
Perform quality assessments and measurement’s on all incoming materials from vendors ensuring, as a minimum, the material meets the specifications in accordance with government supplied and approved drawing packages.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Document inspection outcomes by completing required inspection records.
20%: Managerial/Administrative Duties
Supervise and coordinate the day to day activities of the Quality Control team, prioritizing work efforts on specific work orders in coordination with Task Managers.
Liaison with vendors and customers to resolve quality related issues in a timely manner.
Make recommendations to management and implement continued improvement with the Quality Control team.
Collect and report quality metrics as required by management and the customer.
10%: Process Improvement and Training
Recommend improvements to the Quality Process to ensure continued Quality in the 8014 Contract.
Teach and provide On the Job Training to the Quality Control team to improve product excellence and to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer.
Performs other duties as assigned and directed by Project
Bachelors and five years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years of experience; or nine (9) years of experience with a High School diploma or GED.
Must have an I-Secret clearance to start and be able to obtain a Secret.
Completion of Navy "C" school or equivalent training.
Experience: 8 years of hands-on experience on the operations, analysis, test, installation or maintenance of the C5ISR system he/she manages.
Must have demonstrated leadership of the successful management and execution of production efforts.
