AECOM is actively seeking for a Resident Engineer for immediate employment in San Juan, PR.
The Resident Engineer will be on-site full-time during construction activities. The Resident Engineer will monitor each Contractor’s performance to ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the Contract Documents and USPS Standards. In addition, the Resident Engineer will coordinate directly with the USPS and Contractors on-site to address any concerns or issues that may arise during construction.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Resident Engineer will regularly review of the contractors’ submitted daily/weekly progress reports regarding project safety, work, schedule, and coordination issues, and proactively address identified concerns.
Review, process and coordinate resolution with the USPS as well as keep record of all Contractor RFIs. Coordinate and process RFIs
Will review and recommend for payment the application for payments submitted by the Contractors
Will verify compliance with construction documents; verify that the application reflects the work completed/materials stored on-site, if any; perform a documented review of certified payroll, and review construction schedule for accuracy, recommending corrective action
Will maintain daily records to include the following: progress work, workforce, weather, telephone calls, site inspections, miscellaneous items and accidents
Will maintain a construction project life
6+ years of experience in construction, project inspection or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must have Puerto Rico PE License
Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience in Structural engineering
