Job Summary

The AECOM Traffic Department is actively seeking a creative, self-driven, highly talented Traffic Engineering Manager for employment in the Orlando office. As a manager in the Traffic group, you will oversee managing and mentor junior engineers, responsible for marketing, business development, and project management.

  • Lead and manage engineering projects, staff, and business development activities in the area of traffic engineering and design

  • Serve as client contact for greater Florida clients in traffic engineer projects

  • Participate in strategic planning efforts to expand the transportation engineering practice and organize and lead team members in the execution of the strategic plan

  • Provide leadership in the successful delivery of transportation planning projects, including schedule, quality and within budget performance

  • Lead and support staff through staff development, mentoring, coaching, performance evaluations, and recruitment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline

  • 10 plus years of related experience in or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • 10 years of traffic signal design and traffic operations.

  • Experience in staff management and project management

  • Experience in marketing, proposal development, and client management

  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Florida DOT transportation industry market
