Sr. Software Development Engineer/Architect

ABOUT THIS POSITION

KBR has exciting opportunities for experienced Sr. Software Development Engineer/Architect

to support the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPS) Point Mugu, CA.

  • The Sr. Software Development Engineer/Architect’s task is focused on design and development for a web-based application.
  • The candidate is to define and execute software lifecycle management tasks in support of the system development and provide most of the core functionalities needed by the planning communities. Additional development will be required in order to fine tune the workflow and to provide in-depth enhancements to the application.
  • The candidate determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Helps to lead other S/W engineers to perform and assist in duties.

The incumbent for this position will be available for a sign-on bonus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and twelve (12) years or a Master’s Degree and eight (8) years of directly related experience is required.

Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense (DOD) clearance or US Citizen eligible for DOD clearance.

  • The candidate must have system architect experience and proficiency with documentation skills including but not limited to (detailed) design documents, technical white papers, testing, and user manuals.
  • The candidate must understand N-tier architecture including Windows 2003/Windows 2008 Server IIS environment, web servers, application servers, and database servers including how to implement services. Development experience with Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE) is a is highly desired.
  • This person must be adept and commit to a multi team-oriented development environment and have effective communications skills. Requiring detail evaluation and negotiation of requirements from various stakeholders and systems.
  • The candidate must have experience with ASP.NET, C#, .NET framework 2.0 and higher, SQL, JavaScript, IIS, Typescript and Web Services.
