C-UAS System Engineer

Counter UAS System Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and implementing highly complex air defense hardware that defends USAFE-AFAFRICA air bases. The CUAS system engineer will define all aspects of a system life cycle from requirement identification and definition, through development, implementation, verification of system performance, fielding, and maintenance support.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated history designing, integrating and employing Kinetic, Directed Enegy or Electronic Warfare CUAS technology
  • Candidate must demonstrate experience in providing technical leadership, direction and management oversight of engineering and advance technology activities directly relevant to managing an air defense engineering program
  • Candidate must demonstrate experience managing the human side of an engineering enterprise, including workforce culture management and workplace cultural transformation
  • Candidate must possess extensive managerial and business knowledge necessary to evoke technical and thought leadership to a military-industrial team engaged in supporting complex air defense system engineering analysis, assessment and reporting
  • Must be proficient in engineering standards, principles, practices, and processes related to complex air defense system-of-systems and weapon programs such as C-UAS, Counter Cruise Missile, and Missile Defense.
  • A minimum of 10 years of technical team management experience; preferably experience linked to technical leadership and oversight of systems engineering, command and control systems, ground-based and space-based sensor systems, and related complex DoD air defense elements
  • Must have experience with the Counter Small-UAS designated preferred systems:
  • FS-LIDS (Fixed Site-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat System)
  • NINJA (Negation of Improvised Non-State Joint Aerial-Threats)
  • CORIAN (Counter-Remote Control Model Aircraft Integrated Air Defense Network)
  • L-MADIS (Light-Mobile Air Defense Integrated System)
  • Bal Chatri
  • Drone Buster
  • Smart Shooter
  • FAAD-C2 (Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control)
  • ADSI (Air Defense System Integrator)
  • MEDUSA C2 (Multi-Environmental Domain Unmanned Systems Application Command and Control)
  • Any C-UAS systems not listed above
  • Demonstrated understanding of Configuration Management principles
  • Demonstrated experience briefing senior military leadership
  • Security Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or advanced sciences.
