Associate- Facility Operations


The essential function of the Junior Facilities Technician is monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and servicing site facilities and building systems and performing preventative maintenance with an emphasis on quality work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes. Must be able to work with suppliers, inspectors, and co-workers to ensure facilities, maintenance, equipment, machinery and building systems remain operational and projects are completed on-time with minimal disruption to operations. Prioritize service calls, and follow up upon completion and perform minor construction projects. Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions. Must be able to read blue prints, perform office activities and assist in maintaining facility systems, equipment, machinery, and esthetics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain building systems and equipment to operate at optimal levels.
  • Monitor and support facilities and maintenance requirements, through work order requests
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting of systems, equipment and machinery with minimal downtime to include electrical, HVAC, plumbing, security and fire alarm systems, carpentry, masonry, painting, door/hardware, carpet, wall repair, systems furniture and grounds
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
  • Operate, monitor, test and document the performance of assigned equipment to detect malfunctions or operational problems and evaluate equipment performance
  • Assure compliance with all safety requirements and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, test gear, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed

Qualifications :

  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI within 12 months of hire
  • US Citizenship required

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma/GED
