Job Summary

AECOM is hiring immediately vertical Construction Building Inspectors for the Pinellas County Florida area. The selected candidates will be part of AECOM Construction Services for Florida. Join a successful construction services team. S ponsorship is not available for this position.

Project tasks include the following:

  • Monitor daily construction activities

  • Generate daily reports of construction activities to include photos and reports of any construction issues, such as discrepancies between the construction documents and/or shop drawings versus the construction

  • Review construction documents and shop drawings in detail

  • Report directly to the client Project Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • HS + 4 years of related experience or AA/AS + plus 2 years of related experience or Diploma/Certificate + 2 years of related experience.

  • Knowledge of Florida Building Codes and safety protocol

  • Pass an FDLE background check - level 2

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer the inspector have at least ten years of construction experience, to include a review of construction documents and shop drawings

  • Flexibility in working hours (i.e. second shift versus first shift and weekends, as required)
