Provide mechanical subject matter expertise as an HVAC/Mechanical Equipment/Logistical Specialist in modernization, acquisition, management and sustainability of new and existing Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) contingency basing assets.
Perform technical assessments for form, fit, and function suitability, complexity, compatibility, and operational requirements on mechanical type BEAR assets such as HVAC systems, and airfield ground equipment (AGE) associated with BEAR.
Evaluate HVAC/Mechanical equipment, existing and new, listing deficiencies and strengths. Factors for evaluation include ease of maintenance and deploy-ability factors.
Coordinate with various shops for evaluations and required support of HVAC/Mechanical equipment that is considered for evaluation.
Attend Program Office Test Plan Working Group Meetings via telecom or in person readying personnel for test sequences and submit summary report of meeting.
Provide technical assistance in the verification and validation of equipment maintenance procedures/operations as outlined in the applicable technical order and document findings.
Provide technical assistance in developing and verifying the effectiveness of various proposed replacements and upgrades to systems and equipment.
Prepare Concept of Operations (CONOPS) reports to include estimates of fuels and other equipment or material used during test evaluations or training schedules.
Provide report on the technical analysis and assistance necessary to define, evaluate, and document life cycle logistic support requirements of various HVAC/Mechanical systems proposed for modernization, replacement, upgrade, or modification.
Develop and update Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP) for Air Force assets.
Provide technical assistance and submit reports as required to verify, resolve, and document identified equipment/material deficiencies.
Provide technical support and administrative assistance by reviewing and assessing technical support requirements included in the operation and support plans, programming plans, acquisition plans, test and evaluation plans, and design documents/data, provisioning documents.
Perform technical and functional review of documents used for asset design, manufacture, maintenance, modification, and operational instructions which include engineering drawings, technical orders, commercial manuals, operating instructions, and material listings.
Understand and develop logistic support data such as Equipment Mission Capability (MISCAP) statements, Unit Type Code (UTC), Logistics Detail (LOGDET), Packaging Plans, and critical item listings.
Perform data gathering, develop presentations, staff evaluations reports, and technical writing to support effective communication.
Education and Experience and Skill Sets:

Must have high-school diploma or above with technical training aligned with position requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience and job knowledge with the HVAC/Mechanical Systems
Previous experience with USAF required
Previous experience working with USAF BEAR Base operations and systems is preferred
Additional information:

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Proficient in MS Office Suite of Tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must Possess excellent communications skills
Candidate must be able to pass security background check.
Position is at Holloman AFB, New Mexico.
