Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Software Engineer – TEMPEST to join our team in the Springfield, VA area.

Job Responsibilities:                                               

  • Applies engineering technology and techniques to perform TEMPEST testing to verify compliance of systems or subsystems. Analyzes, reviews and prepares test plans, test reports and other technical documentation. Applies electromagnetic interference engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problems. Supports acquisition process in developing design and new test techniques related to TEMPEST. Provides TEMPEST certification associated with procured TEMPEST equipment. Report any configuration changes of the approved baseline for TEMPEST.

  • Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results and project deliverables. Responsible for TEMPEST subject matter/processes. Able to develop solutions that require collaboration, analysis and understanding of the impact on end-product/solution. Able to communicate effectively across all levels and influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA and 3 - 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TEMPEST Certification
  • Degree in Engineering

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph (FSP)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
