SAIC has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer, AN/TPY-2 AST Lead for U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Support Services (AECSS) for Support Services for Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate (BMDED).
This position is available in both: Huntsville, AL and at Schriever Air Force Base/ Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is contingent upon award of contract and may be temporarily remote due to COVID-19.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and make minor adaptations and modifications.
Provide independent and professional support on portions of complex projects. Specific assignment objectives, approaches, and possible solutions are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
Independently perform project assignments that involves complex features and can be guided by codes, standards, and other precedents of the discipline
Analyze and/or evaluate the results of an analysis using techniques prescribed by senior engineers or supervisors; and accomplishes tasks of which require investigation of a many variables.
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering specialization or related discipline and ten (10) years applicable experience; or a Master’s Degree in engineering specialization or related discipline and five (5) years applicable experience.
Top Secret security clearance is required with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
Experience in DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs are required.
Must be familiar with DoD drawings, specifications practices, formats and procedures.
Experience with AN/TPY-2 Surveillance Transportable Radar/ Forward Based X-Band Transportable (FBX-T), digital antenna array radar
Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate (BMDED)
