Senior Supply Chain Analyst

Context

Sellafield Limited (SL) has identified the need for project and program management support to deliver 17 major construction projects associated with developing the infrastructure required for the reprocessing and making safe of nuclear waste material. CAPEX for the 20 year program is estimated at $6.5billion. The support SL requires is being procured through the selection of 4 Program and Project Partners (PPP) to form an integrated team for the 20 year programme duration. The PPP partnership will be comprised of: Integration (Lot 1), Engineering & Design (Lot 2), Civil Construction (Lot 3), Process Construction (Lot 4), and Sellafield. Each Partner has defined scope responsibility, and combined responsibility for delivering the Major Projects on time and budget.

To supplement its capacity in the delivery of projects and programmes, Sellafield Ltd (SL) sources Commercial and Project Controls services from a number of existing suppliers. In order to manage the provision of these services to the SL business in an effective and efficient way, SL took the strategic decision for this capability to be provided through the Project and Programme Partners (PPP) and included this within the scope of the PPP Lot 1 contract leading to the formation of the Project Controls and Commercial Services (PCCS) workstream. The aim being that the PPP Lot 1 Integration Partner will support the enhancement of this capability within Sellafield over the 20 years of the PPP.

A pivotal role in the identification and delivery of all supply chain reporting, the Senior Analyst (PPP Supply Chain) will be responsible for advising the supply chain team on data trending and analytics to help inform the strategic direction of the function and the business.

The successful candidate must be robust and be able to work in a fast moving and demanding environment with a significant focus on accuracy and critical analysis of source data _._ This position would suit applicants who have had previous experience in a large commercial business with structured strategic reporting function. The incumbent must have had previous experience in the role of Analyst / Senior Analyst.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy and Performance Management:

  • Identification and harvesting of source data and analytics to identify reporting tools
  • Trend, performance and exception reporting to inform strategic decision making within the supply chain function

Day-to-day Management:

  • Manage workload and tasks, particularly at month end reporting times to ensure timely and accurate production of information

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement in all activities and support for procurement strategy.

Policies and Procedures:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the procurement function policies, processes and procedures to ensure fulfilment of legislative / procedure requirements and alignment to operations.

EHQS (Environment, Health, Quality and Safety):

  • Comply with all relevant environment, health, quality and safety procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of procurement processes and practices, taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Ad-hoc Requests:

  • Perform any other related duties or assignments as directed.
