Under the Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract, our 110-member team delivers the full breadth of IT services, including infrastructure engineering and operations, software development and maintenance, cyber security, enterprise architecture support, and document processing.
GDIT is in immediate need of a Systems Assurance Tester. The GDIT team supporting System Assurance Testing (SAT) is responsible for planning and conducting quality assurance activities to ensure software fixes and enhancements meet system requirements, are defect free, and do not introduce a vulnerability into the environment. Each SAT tester is responsible for managing their project and completing their SAT planning and deliverables. Being able to bring experience, insights and best practices with the testing lifecycle will enable the individual to demonstrate value to both the project teams and the client.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Information Technology major with at least 1-2 years’ experience in a related field. Relevant experience can be substituted for qualifications. Security+ certification is required.
Ensure that deliverables from the System Engineers and Developers meet required objectives by conducting systems assurance testing as determined by the project plan.
End to End System Assurance for all phases of the project performing audits on various PMP identified artifacts are appropriately generated and delivered.
Review requirements for testability and employ system analysis techniques to translate system requirements specifications into test cases/scenarios that ensure all the assigned subset requirements are part of the system to be delivered and that these requirements operate correctly. Inspect projects for compliance with relevant standards as defined by our client and Federal regulations. Conduct the bulk of your testing activities independently.
Develop test plans and develop test cases and automated test scripts using automated test tools and manual methods. Conduct testing activities for subsets of complex systems and subsystems. In addition, the candidate will develop provide a program-level Test and Evaluation Master Plan. The plans shall define the methods, scenarios, personnel, facilities, and other resources that will be used for testing.
The Candidate shall provide SAT Test Plans as needed for new engineering and development efforts as well as legacy systems. The SAT Test Plans shall define in detail the methods, scenarios, personnel, facilities, and other resources that provide automated system integration testing activities, such as performance testing and functional testing.
Generate problem and change reports, communicate orally and in writing with the test lead and developers, and ensure the corrective action for these problem and change reports operates correctly.
