Job Summary

AECOM has an immediate opening for an Information Security Specialist to report out of our Atlanta, GA office. This position will assist in our ongoing project with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security in the Safeguarding of Sensitive Information, Information Technology Security and Privacy Training, FAR 52.224-1 Privacy Act Notification, and the FAR 52.224-2 Privacy Act.

The Information Security Specialist will be in charge of all technological and physical security implementation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitoring security and privacy training

  • Analyzing security risks and promoting them to senior management

  • Ensuring National Institute of Standards and Technology compliance

  • Upholding the Data Management Plan

  • Assisting with the monitoring and process development for handling PII and SPII

  • Serving on the Security Council

  • Ensuring all systems and tool meet the necessary security requirements

  • Ensuring access controls are in place for all systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, including 4 years in a leadership role.

  • Government security clearance

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills

  • Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder is required.
