We have an exciting opportunity for a proven Project Manager within road infrastructure to assist in delivery across a complex program of works. These works will be delivered throughout various Sydney based project sites, working from our Parramatta project offices at various stages in the project lifecycle.
As a Project Manager with a world leader in engineering and project management, you will provide effective and efficient project and contract management services to NSW State Government using best practice and progressive project and stakeholder management techniques.
The Project Manager will have an expectation to deliver objectives and develop or deliver infrastructure in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope to meet Government outlined expectations.
This is an opportunity to work in a major PMO environment in a coordinated D&C approach, therefore this role will require a strong ability to lead and direct program initiatives throughout stakeholder groups (design consultants, contractors and sub-contractors/suppliers) in order to work in conjunction with client expectations and timelines.
A Project Manager on Easing Sydney’s Congestion program will be open to a contract position, alongside ideally having a proven background or understanding in RMS delivery frameworks or State Government procedures.
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
Demonstrated experience in managing major infrastructure or other complex projects, such as road, bridge, maritime and, where applicable, tunnel projects, with a strong knowledge of either project implementation, including contract management, or project development, including environmental planning and assessment processes.
Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in road, bridge, maritime and, where applicable, tunnel construction, and demonstrated experience in the effective implementation of Quality Assurance systems, WH&S, risk environmental management and related computer based management tools for projects.
Demonstrated ability as an effective manager, with high level leadership and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders and the proven ability to lead and motivate project teams in construction industry projects.
High level communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels and demonstrated capability to develop flexible and workable solutions to meet Roads and Maritime customer expectations.
Demonstrated extensive experience in the preparation of tender documentation, tendering procedures and/or overseeing professional service and/or construction contractors
Proven high level project management skills, strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or similar - required
Diploma or similar in Project Management - preferred
