V-22 Developmental Test Pilot

Joining KBR you will be a part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government and commercial agencies. You will be joining a highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team that has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support. The selected applicant will work within the Air Force test community composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

Role and Responsibilities: This position supports 413 Flight Test Squadron (FLTS) developmental test and evaluation at Duke Field, FL. The applicant must be able to perform the duties of a V-22 developmental test pilot, who can pilot and navigate the flight of Tilt-Rotor aircraft during testing. The selected candidate will support a wide range of AF test and evaluation requirements to include: test planning meetings, test plan development, event planning, test procedure and card development, flight briefings, test execution, post event support, test reporting, and deficiency reporting.

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. An engineering/technical degree is desired. A rotary wing pilot graduate of a full-length course of instruction from a recognized test pilot school (eg, the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, EPNER Test Pilot School, etc) is highly desired.

Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience is required. Two (2) years RDT&E flight experience is desired. A minimum of 1,000 hours in rotary wing aircraft with current (desired) or previous (required) designation as a helicopter aircraft commander required. 300 hours of tilt rotor experience is required. Recent CV-22 instructor (unqualified <24 months at the start of requalification training, which permits Commander-directed requalification IAW 11-202V1_AFMCSUP) is required. Qualified CV-22 instructor is desired. Recent experience with rotary wing T&E techniques, concepts, principles, and practices is desired. The ability to direct aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution and reporting in support of collateral tasks within the customer flight program is desired. Candidate must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of annual FAA Class II flight physical. A current or previous USAF pilot is preferred, but will accept candidates who have experience on USMC or Navy variants.

Clearance: Secret is Required. Current Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility is highly desired.
