Description

SAIC is seeking an exceptional individual to support the Air Force's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. 


We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to innovate and employ state of the art engineering techniques on one of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD with a great company.  It requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the USAF development and sustainment of a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment
  • Perform requirements traceability analysis
  • Review and evaluate design requirements and interface documentation
  • Correlate design requirements to verification methods and activities
  • Perform other systems engineering responsibilities in support of the program


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of related experience.  Additional experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Familiarity with requirements management and verification/test
  • Familiarity with systems or software modeling (SysML or UML)

 Preferred Skills and Education for this position include:

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Software Architecture
  • Experience with DOORS, Cameo/MagicDraw or similar modeling software (Sparx Enterprise Architect, IBM Rational Rhapsody, Vitech CORE)
  • Experience developing software applications, particularly for Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
