GDIT is seeking a PEGA Software Developer who will be responsible for the research, design, development, testing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Pega Software Developer supporting the CMS - Eligibility Appeals Operations Support program, you will be trusted to complete maintenance and new development tasks.

IN THIS ROLE, A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Participate as part of a development team of 10-15 resources in daily scrum meetings to report on status, and receive priorities and direction.
  • Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs.
  • Execute in all phases of the software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging process to meet business needs while meeting project schedules.
  • Provide guidance in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.
  • Provide valued analysis on software project specifications, activities, or status.
  • Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time.  
  • Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience); 8+ years of development experience.
  • Experience developing with the Pega Case Management suite of tools
  • Experience working on CMS programs and on agile development teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills essential for collaborating with others, communicating to supervisors, and speaking with customers or clients.
  • Experience providing guidance, mentoring, and work leadership to less-experienced developers.
  • Experience as a team lead (not a people manager).
