SAIC is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven and results-oriented professional with executive presence to work as a pseudo-Chief of Staff for a new customer organization.  The successful candidate will apply a well-rounded set of skills and customer experience to be the “glue” for the organization helping drive their overall mission through support to the director and deputy director of the organization. This exciting mission environment will offer daily challenges and opportunities to make a difference.  Exceptional tact and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight to get the job done.


  • Experience working in senior positions that would enable the candidate to function in a pseudo-Chief of Staff role working closely with senior customer management to support the diverse needs of their organization. Strong interpersonal skills, tact and judgement are required
  • Proven ability to work independently without oversight on task completion, coordinating with the appropriate stakeholders as necessary.  This skill is essential to the job
  • Strong attention to detail, working quickly but accurately to deliver high-quality products for the customer. This could include updating program information to support graphics, consolidating and writing weekly highlights about mission accomplishments, and coordinating bi-weekly meetings to include planning and agenda creation
  • Be a self-starter with a drive to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.  This involves responding to corporate actions from senior management that sometimes requires a quick turn.  Candidate must learn the organization to know where to find answers to develop and respond to actions independently
  • Experience developing artifacts related to organizational strategy to include mission statements and goals and objectives that tie to and enable the achievement of the mission
  • Support a variety of activities that help the organization function effectively.  A willingness to do whatever it takes is essential. 
  • Proficiency with customer systems and tools as well as high proficiency with MS Office
