Working closely with our Senior SHE+W Advisor - NZ, this specialist advisory role is responsible for the administration and maintenance of AECOM’s comprehensive safety programme.
You will support the NZ business with the delivery of AECOM’s SHE+W programme and other health, environment and resilience related initiatives.
This is a hands-on role, which will see you participating in both office and field-based work, with the opportunity to travel to site and other AECOM office locations within NZ.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
Providing technical and specialist SHE+W assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company safety policies;
Participating in internal and external Safety Management System audits;
Coordinating and maintaining the SH&E incident reporting system;
Supporting a range of SHE+W training for company employees;
Developing and distributing communications related to employee health and wellbeing;
Completing prequalification’s and providing supporting materials for bids and proposals.
We are seeking a proactive, driven Health and Safety professional who shares our passion for delivering high quality safety initiatives to our clients. You will be a natural team player who can demonstrate;
Tertiary qualification in safety, or equivalent skills and training in health & safety
3-5 years’ professional experience in a similar safety role
Exposure to high-risk safety activities
Safety management and LMS software experience
Experience in developing and/or implementing health & safety procedures, programmes or initiatives
Ability to deliver successful safety training packages
Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders, and engage with staff at all levels
ICAM investigation experience
Engineering/construction safety experience is strongly preferred
