Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to serve as the s enior technical resource and advisor for AECOM's Minnesota Roadway Design Engineering Team. This leadership role will be instrumental in AECOM's ongoing growth and success. Responsibilities include:
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Licensed P.E. in MN
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and proficiency of software systems for roadway design including MicroStation, SelectSeries and OpenRoads Designer plus Microsoft Suite of programs.
Progressive experience and responsibilities in designing and managing projects and teams on transportation projects.
Experience with preparation of proposals and project staffing workload and budget estimating.
Active involvement in professional societies.
Experience with Minnesota Department of Transportation standards and projects.
Experience with State Aid projects for Cities and Counties in Minnesota.
