Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide expertise and direction in engineering secure technical solutions for the existing Information System
  • Engineer, document, deliver and maintain the information solutions
  • Performing requirements analysis, design, and integration
  • Responsible for investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
  • Diagnosing and resolving the complex performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed below
  • Providing IT Systems Engineering support on the direction of all technology, including: Windows Server 2012/2016, VMware vSphere 6.5, Digital Guardian, Splunk, RHEL, SQL 2016, HPE SANs, HBSS, ACAS
  • Deploy new customer sites
  • Deliver infrastructure as code, coordinate with PM to stand up a DevSecOps environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 qualified; minimum IAT Level 2
  • DoD 8570 Computing Environment Microsoft or VMware certification
  • PowerShell scripting experience
  • Must be open to up to 10% annual travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desired DevOps experience
  • Desired VMware 2+ years’ experience/VCP-DCV6 cert
  • Desired MCSE or equivalent
  • Desired SAN technology experience
  • Desired NIST 800 series experience is a plus

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current TS clearance with SCI eligibility and adjudicated within last 6 years.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • Must be able to lift up to 20+ lbs.
  • Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery
  • Must be able to position self to maintain office supplies on variable height shelving.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able to observe and detect employee deviations from established policy
