Subject Matter Expert

KBR is looking for a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft platform. The successful candidate is responsible for providing research and technical guidance to the software development team for the development and modernization of software products supporting the E-2D maintenance community and IPTs. Additionally, the candidate will apply required and desired skills below to provide input for the formulation of new software functions and user experiences, author and review software requirement specifications, and assist in the validation and execution of software test cases.

Required Skills, Traits, and Abilities:

  • 8 years as a maintainer, maintenance control, and/or quality assurance representative for the E-2D platform (5 years recent)
  • Clear technical understanding of E-2D aircraft, mission systems, and weapons systems
  • Thorough operational knowledge of maintenance support software suite such as ALE Ground Station, JDRS, NSIV, ELMS, OOMA, and NALCOMIS
  • Clear understanding of PEMA maintenance device operation and the roles it fulfills for maintenance and technical data management personnel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • The ability to work with KBR and Government representatives collaboratively to identify and articulate requirements for new functions and features that support development and modernization of software products
  • The ability to translate aircraft technical data into implementable software business rules
  • The ability to identify maintenance and operator needs and translate those needs into implementable software capability descriptions

Desired Skills, Traits, and Abilities:

  • 10 years as a maintainer, maintenance control, and/or quality assurance representative for the E-2D platform (8 years recent)
  • Bachelors Degree
  • The ability to identify and understand the movement and synchronization of files and information on PEMA devices
  • Working knowledge of JTDI, JKCS/JDMS, DECKPLATE and JDRS/TPDRs
