Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Systems Architect to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC in Reston VA.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Leads the identification and development of tools, technology, methods, services and solutions that position SAIC as a recognized leader for our Federal Clients. Lead solution development, technical design and architecture, solution pricing, and delivery. Provides solution thought leaderships in the areas of cloud, mobility, security, infrastructure engineering, systems integration, DevSecOps. 
 
Responsible for ensuring the SAIC strategy for Cloud, IT infrastructure, mobility, DevSecOps, and IT service management is effectively defined and implemented within the portfolio practice. Provides leadership and creativity within an existing line of business. Identifies and develops SAIC discriminators that can lead to improved customer satisfaction. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with SAIC third-party vendors and other SAIC business units. Leverages these relationships to the best advantage of SAIC in supporting client requirements. 
 
 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and experience: 
•    Master's degree and 16 years of experience or equivalent
•    Must have at least 5 years of recent experience in leading solution development in large size business units with delivery experience. Must demonstrate strong skills in interpersonal as well as technical skills. 
•    Direct experience executing to Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) models/processes
•    Domain system engineering experience in one or more areas including imaging, RFID, Biometrics, mobility, telecommunications concepts, computer languages, operating systems, database/DBMS and middleware
•    Must have at least 5 years in-depth experiences in public clouds (AWS, Azure, etc) solution engineering. 
•    Must be an expert in public cloud solution engineering, migration, operation, security, and native cloud services. 
•    Must be knowledgeable in cyber security management best practices, including vulnerability management, threat intelligence, network security, endpoint security, cloud security, SIEM, DevSecOps, and cloud security.
•    Strong knowledge of federal security regulations, NIST guidelines, and DoD security accreditation requirements
•    Experienced in managing a team of engineers and solution architects, delivering presentations, leading meeting discussions with customers and team members at all levels
•    Strong experience in IT service management framework, technical solutions, and best practices. In-depth knowledge in ITIL and ServiceNow is required. 
•    In-depth knowledge in DevSecOps methodology, tooling, and best practices. Knowledgeable with microservices, kubernetes, and serverless architecture. 
•    In-depth experience leading the design and integration of enterprise-level technical solutions and service management solutions. Experienced in developing to-be-architecture, concept of operations, and transformation roadmaps 
•    Strong capability and extensive experience in capturing technical requirements and defining technical solutions in the form of conceptual, logical, and physical designs, including the ability to articulate those concepts both verbally and in writing. 
•    Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired timeframe. 
•    Experienced in developing cost models, technical delivery plans, technical solutions, basis of estimates (BOEs) and Bill of Materials (BOM) development. 
•    Direct experience executing to Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) models/processes
•    Domain system engineering experience in one or more areas including imaging, RFID, Biometrics, mobility, telecommunications concepts, computer languages, operating systems, database/DBMS and middleware
•    Strong intellectual curiosity in exploring and learning new technologies, technology trends, forthcoming industry standards, new products, and the latest solution development techniques; ability to leverage this knowledge to formulate technical solution strategy.
•    Ability to leverage current industry, technical knowledge, and entire enterprise IT infrastructure knowledge to meet client requierements. 
•    Experience with DevOps solutions and associated management solutions, such as Docker, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Kubernetes, etc. 
•    Knowledge of advanced networking infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, etc. 
•    US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
