Master Plumber - Military veterans preferred

QED, Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a Master Plumber experienced in pipefitting who will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing piping, fixtures, and other fluid system structures. Work is with both industrial and commercial clients, familiarity with both types of systems is highly desired.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Review project to understand scope and timeline
· Measure sections and order materials needed
· Cut, bend, and weld metals such as carbon and stainless steel to specifications
· Install piping or tubing segments securely with welding or other equipment
· Perform trial runs and tests on pipe systems to ensure there are no leaks or weak points
· Repair and reinforce broken, cracked, or inadequate systems or pipes
· After installation, inspect and test each piping section to ensure there are no leaks and the piping is secure.

Requirements and Qualifications
· High school degree or equivalent
· Completion of vocational school programs or trade apprenticeship
· Current state journeymen or master license (Master license HIGHLY preferred).
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and submittals for accurate installations.
· 5+ years experience as a commercial plumber with experience in new and renovation type work.
· Proficient with manual and power tools
· Attention to detail
· Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations with regard to piping systems
· Must meet work eligibility/citizenship requirements with the ability to successfully complete required background checks in order to access various government facilities.
· Carbon and Stainless Steel Pipe Welding Certs are a plus.
