We are hiring a Landscape Architect for our Tampa, FL Landscape Architecture studio.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Preparing planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects

  • Performing field reviews and analysis of project sites and study areas and preparing written documentation of observations and conditions

  • Will work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Domestic travel may be required

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited program, Environmental Design, or other related degree and 4+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited program

  • Experience shall include participation with studio team members on project work including public/private projects with an emphasis on municipal, county, state transportation (FDOT), community, parks, trails and open space design, place making and planning as well as in the public realm, streetscape and resort, leisure and attraction area development themed environments

  • Registered Landscape Architect

  • A strong focus on studio relationships is an important aspect of our studio and the candidate should be confident, friendly and willing to work with all staff levels from entry - level Landscape Architects through to the Director of Landscape Architecture, as well as with other design and technical disciplines.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, or SketchUp, or other related CADD software

  • Professional Certifications: Membership in Professional Association in USA (ASLA)

  • Experience with three-dimensional design, illustrations and graphic design

  • Experience with Florida Department of Transportation related projects

  • A good knowledge of design process, conceptual thinking and detailed design/construction document knowledge, well organized and attention to scheduling requirements

  • Knowledge of construction materials and techniques, including detailing

  • Ability to plan and organize multiple projects and effectively work with other Landscape Architects, Designers and Technicians

  • Project management, time management and task management skills

  • Understand quality control coordination and practice structure and be able to comply to company standards

  • Ability to maintain regular office hours and participate in company functions where appropriate
