The Opportunity

With a multitude of design and planning issues to influence and a challenging work program full of exciting and varied projects, the role of Urban Planner is a great opportunity to grow your career in a well-resourced and progressive team.

We have a strong pipeline of work in Victoria and are seeking an Urban Planner to join our Environment and Planning team based in Melbourne. You need to be someone who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary team because you will play a key role in the strategic planning and urban design of major city shaping infrastructure projects, including the Level Crossing Removal Project.

As an urban planner you will provide technical advice and undertake planning assessments and participate in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of diverse infrastructure projects. Project work would include major transport and water infrastructure projects, as well as standalone environment and planning projects.

Who are you?

If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it’s that working together to reach common goals cannot be done without passion and commitment behind them. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic planner with a proven background in urban planning. You will have experience in providing planning input and advice along with the development of approval strategies for project delivery. We are looking for someone who can provide analysis across a wide spectrum of planning issues including air and noise, flora and fauna, heritage, transport planning, urban design, structure planning and government regulators.
