ManTech is seeking an RF Engineer to become an integral part of our Combat Integration and Identification Systems Engineering team.  Successful candidates will provide RF knowledge and oversight to an integrated engineering team to specify, design, develop, integrate, test, and certify complex systems for Aegis ship-based applications for our customer at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field in St. Inigoes, MD. 


  • Specifies system RF hardware components.
  • Designs, develops, and integrates complex NCTR systems and software algorithms, including modeling and simulation.
  • Creates/updates system specifications and assists other engineers with system testing, including with test case development for system key performance parameters (KPP) verification and validation testing.
  • Supports development and maintenance of test-beds and simulation software used for system testing and training.
  • Supports development and testing at customer's facility and on target platforms. 
  • Support customer’s system review processes for key project milestones. 
  • Risk analysis and management
  • Analyze technology/capability gaps

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor’s with additional experience
  • At least 10 years of applied RF experience (At least 14 years with Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Strong background in RF design engineering, and digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Strong background and applied experience in engineering for military applications
  • Must have an active secret clearance and be able to attain a TS/SCAP

Desired Qualifications:

  • NCTR algorithm development in C/C++ or MATLAB, and NCTR system testing
  • AEGIS experience
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR Systems Engineering Processes
  • Working knowledge of digital signal processing
  • Working knowledge of MatLab
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in an integrated team environment

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Can substitute Bachelor’s Degree for 4 additional years of experience.
