Sr. Specialist- Cost Control


Applicant will be primarily responsible for managing and reporting external and internal financial reporting on a variety of Government programs (Cost Plus, T&M, & Fixed Price), to include Operating Unit level Profit/Loss (P&L) performance. In addition, the successful candidate will utilize their technical expertise to coach a small group of cost control analyst in effective execution of a variety of Government programs. Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organization. Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports. Reviews project costs incurred by element of cost, calculates future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates and risk analysis. Performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls. Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advances skills. Track subcontractor costs and prepare monthly accruals. Prepare monthly internal/external financial and program deliverables. Ability to interface with the customer and internal stakeholders such as contracts, subcontracts, purchasing, AP and AR. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is important. Must be proficient in excel.


  • Completion of an undergraduate degree and 4+ years of experience required. In lieu of education, 12 years related work experience may be substituted.
  • Experience using CostPoint and advanced Excel skills is desired.
  • Must be a US citizen.
