Job Summary

AECOM is seeking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support DOD construction projects at the Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL.

The Electrical Engineer will support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as an owners’ representative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review submittals, contractor questions, RFIs/RFCs, construction schedules;

  • Analyze contract deficiencies, construction deficiencies, project issues, requests for equitable adjustment, and claims;

  • Make written recommendations to the COR;

  • Compute time extensions;

  • Assist in preparing documents for change orders and claims;

  • Make technical interpretations of drawings and specifications;

  • Provide engineering determinations on meeting the contract requirements;

  • Make practicability determinations from a construction standpoint.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 10+ years of experience as electrical engineer on large complex multimillion dollar DoD construction projects

  • Experience with Resident Management System (RMS,)

  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products;

  • Must be a US Citizen, this position requires the successful applicant to be a U.S. Citizen;

  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.

  • Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work and walk in indoor/construction site environments with uneven terrain, variable conditions including dusts and noise. The overall physical demands of this position are moderate. Position requires often (25-50% of workday) performing keyboard/mouse operations; occasionally (10-25% of workday) standing/walking, operating vehicles, climbing stairs, and using portable ladders; rarely (less than 10% of workday) working with arms above shoulder level, performing repetitive bending/stooping, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), working at heights, wearing fall protection, working in confined spaces, performing repetitive or fine hand movements, and lifting less than 25 - 50 pounds; Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, hearing protection, and fall protection.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineering License.
