Job Requirements

  • Possess project specific knowledge of the program’s commissioning requirements as defined in the project specifications and commissioning plan.

  • Must have a thorough understanding of the responsibilities to both the Company and the client as set forth by the contractual agreement

  • Maintains financial awareness of labor and other direct costs associated with the project.

  • Performs commissioning reviews of construction documents

  • Attend and actively participate project coordination meetings throughout all phases.

  • Lead field commissioning coordination meetings.

  • Record and distribute commissioning coordination meeting minutes.

  • Review Shop Drawings and Equipment Submittals

  • Develop Pre-functional Construction Checklists

  • Develop Functional Test Procedures

  • Perform Construction/Installation Observations

  • Witness and evaluate quality control testing including DALT.

  • Evaluate equipment and building control/SCADA system installations with respect to contract documents and industry standards

  • Evaluate equipment and building control system installations with respect to the construction schedule

  • Provide detailed daily construction observation reports or as required when working on a project location.

  • Assist in the Training of Facility Operators on Building Systems

  • Witness Startup Procedures

  • Witness/Backcheck NETA Electrical Acceptance Test Results

  • Perform Functional Test Procedures

  • Assist in Troubleshooting

  • Position requires 50% construction site presence.

  • 25% Overnight Travel may be required.

  • Overseas travel may be required.

  • Must have US Passport or capable of obtaining passport.

  • Must be capable of obtaining national security clearance.

  • Under general supervision, performs routine duties.

  • Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.

  • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.

  • Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.

  • Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.

  • May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + 4 years of related experience or HS/GED + 6 years of related experience
