Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to support the Program & Project Management Business line (PPM) in the West Region. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 (ten) years of Healthcare experience including project and construction management of medium and large multi-site OSHPD healthcare facilities. The major responsibilities of this position involves working with public and private healthcare client(s) and leading the construction of healthcare facilities such as hospitals, medical office buildings, healthcare clinics, ambulatory facilities, parking structures and other support buildings. This position will be based near Monterey, CA.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leading and standing up a new Healthcare market program award.

  • Responsible for the overall management and administration for project(s) and establishing project specific objectives and policies.

  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout.

  • Oversees contractor meetings and coordinates with client coordinate with clients to provide guidance on project initiatives such as sustainability, constructability, commissioning, phasing and timing of project elements.

  • Acts as owner’s representative on behalf of the client throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.

  • Analyze and recommend alternative project delivery strategies for different components of the program that might offer cost, schedule, quality and coordination benefits.

  • Support in the coordination of procurement/delivery packages.

  • Manage construction schedule, capital construction budgets and oversee quality of execution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Project and Construction Management experience with California OSHPD facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in construction management, architecture, and/or engineering.

  • A minimum 15 years of related experience managing and executing capital construction projects for healthcare facilities.

  • Professional registration (PE, RA, PMP, CCM, PSP, DBIA, LEED) preferred but not required.

  • Experience in multiple delivery methods.

  • Previous experience delivering and executing Healthcare programs and projects in the State of California.
