Senior Weapons Systems Engineer


KBR is seeking a Senior Weapons Systems Engineer to support the to the Medium Altitude Unmanned Aerial System Division (AFLCMC/WII) for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). Candidate should be experienced and successful at solving complex engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers against advanced, persistent threats.


  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles, airworthiness criteria, development of verification and certification requirements, and understanding the Air Force‚Äôs acquisition processes is required
  • Provide technical inputs, evaluate and assess subsystem and system specification and technical documentation (including data, test plans and reports), in support of weapons and payloads, and other efforts as required to support program execution
  • Develop reports and briefings, plan and participate in Technical Interchange Meeting (TIMs), Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRR, PDR, FCA, PCA, etc.), and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Electrical Engineering, Scientific, or technical discipline and 10+ years of directly related experienceis required. Strong communication skills with customers, end users, and analysts in order to provide recommended contractual language to specific test-related sections of solicitations. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least six (6) years of specialized engineering experience towards one of the following areas;
  • weapons systems
  • weapons system architecture
  • payload systems (F-15,F-16,F-18,UH-1 or Apache)
  • or DoD Certification (interface control documents, tracking weapon system compliance to sponsor capability production documents, and performing airworthiness assessments) CLEARANCE: Secret
