Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Deployment Network Engineer to join our team in Williston, VT.

The Network Data Deployment Engineer will be responsible managing a team of six staff members which supports network deployments to over 300 USCIS sites. Attend all leadership meeting and provide weekly and monthly reports on deployments. Willing to travel in a days’ notice if required. Keep track of equipment that is approaching End of Service in order to upgrade with newer network devices. Provide guidance to team on improving deployments. Willing work with other team leads to collaborate on upcoming projects. Must have a clear understanding of LAN and Wireless Networks. The Data Deployment Network Engineer Lead will work within the team to standardized solutions based on Cisco wired, wireless and Meraki network equipment around the country and sometimes internationally.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leadership skills to supervise the Data Deployment Network Engineer Team of six staff members.
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills in order to provide presentations on the USCIS Network Infrastructure.
  • Ability to train new staff members on the team.
  • Ability to step in and take over projects and travel within two day notice.
  • Work with outside vendors to keep up to date the Bill of Material (BOM) cost, part numbers and descriptions on a quarterly bases.
  • Have the ability write up Engineering Decision Memo’s on new and upcoming network devices to present to the customer.
  • Supervise the design, plan, install and configuration of wired and wireless Local Area Networks under contract to DHS/USCIS.
  • Provide leadership support in the translation of business requirements into network and telecommunications (e.g. LAN, WLAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs, and orders.
  • Provide in depth engineering analysis of network communications alternatives for government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts and communications enhancement design for medium and large-scale network infrastructures.
  • Write Statement of Works (SOW) and Standard Operation Procedures SOP) when required for a deployment project as well as help scope wireless network projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNA-Wireless, CWNA.
  • Ideal candidate should have at least three years’ experience in networks with routing (EIGRP, BGP) and switching (L2/L3) in an enterprise environment.
  • On call for evening Data Circuit cutovers.
  • Excellent technical knowledge on Cisco LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies
  • NX-OS experience is a plus.
  • Cloud networking experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in Cisco Prime, STP, Solarwinds, Meraki and Air-Magnet Wireless Survey Pro.
  • In-depth knowledge deploying and configuring Cisco network technologies from the CLI.
  • Create/validate Bills of Material based upon project plans.
  • Create and update LAN diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
  • Associates degree or higher, and/or five to 15 years of experience.
  • o   Ability to obtain Certificate of Public Trust.
  • Ability to manage and drive multiple large scale network projects with tight timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interface across groups and functional units in a global enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Knowledge of power specs.
  • US-based travel 25%.

  • Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.
