Project Manager

Under broad direction, this position is responsible for all phases of planning and execution on a medium-sized (typically less than $100 million total installed cost) project or may be responsible for a segment of a larger project. Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction. Possesses knowledge of the respective industry. Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders. May also serve as the proposal manager of medium-sized projects. Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15-20 years.


  • Manage and execute project operations and activities
  • Responsible and accountable for assigned project(s), including financial and performance accountability
  • Provide support and input to capture and pursuit activities
  • Mentor, coach and conduct employee performance appraisals for assigned personnel
  • Plan, budget, organise and control projects, including leading recruiting for projects
  • Meet project scope, schedule and budget plans
  • Manage workforce planning in support of current projects and/or assigned proposal capture activities
  • Customer and stakeholder engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Act with a degree of autonomy and personal accountability for team outcomes
  • Attend relevant customer meetings as required
  • Assist with contractor and subcontractor identification and approval process
  • Foster a positive work environment that is professional, dynamic and innovative
  • Provide consultancy support as required
  • Report on project status
  • Ensure a safe working environment


  • Australian citizen with AGSVA baseline security clearance
