As Senior Sales Analyst reporting to a Senior Sales Director, you will maintain data and reporting to support the sales function. You will gather data through multiple sources to create reports in order to support sales reviews, customer business reviews, trends, pricing, and item distribution. You will create and run reports utilizing advanced Excel skills to perform complex analytics that drive insights and actionable items. You will resolve outstanding issues with little or no guidance, and assist with trade management and forecasting.
Create, track, submit and adjust contracts
Maintain trade events in Trade Management tool
Finance & Analytics
Assist with investigations and documentation of post-audits
Utilize syndicated data (i.e. IRI) and appropriate tools to identify trends in market share and distribution to drive the business
Monitor Customer Service Center accuracy with trade events
Report and analyze on planned versus volume variances by utilizing trade event analysis reporting
Conduct post event analysis
Assist the team in developing incremental promotional programs that drive volume and profit
Coordinate meetings with Customer Business Managers on forecasting, training on systems, and post promotion analysis reviews
Acquire ad circulars (AdView) as needed
Create and update complex reports using raw data
Assist with planning by providing current sales trend information, analysis and insights to support development of the team’s customer plan
Act as central point of contract for the Customer Supply Chain Center as it relates to both order/pricing and deductions
Provide guidance to others regarding account details and troubleshooting
Attend customer calls and/or manage a small number of customer accounts
Lead the analytical efforts for the team, providing development and training for the sales analysts to strengthen their skills sets
Act as a field expert with the headquarters team. May assist corporate team/departments with higher level data gathering or problem solving.
Provide direct or indirect leadership to the broader sales analyst team.
Train new team members on Conagra systems.
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years experience in a broker and/or sales support role
Ability to troubleshoot problems
Ability to make recommendations for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed from the systems previously mentioned
Ability to make sound decisions and take action on them independently
Aptitude for transferring knowledge to other analysts and willingness to lead and teach
Advanced technical, report running and analytical abilities including experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel; experience with Market6 and VIP is a plus
Willingness to travel as needed
