Description
SAIC is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide support to the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center (CCDC GVSC), located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical degree with at least 9 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer; OR Masters and 7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer; PhD or JD and 4 years as a Systems Engineer
Experience leading Systems Engineering aspects of a project/product team
Develop and mature system requirements and interface control documents in DOORS or other requirements management tool
Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system, subsystem and component alternatives to inform overall system decisions/recommendations
Work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process to develop and demonstrate integrated system design in accordance with requirements
Lead systems engineering aspects of technical reviews including SFR, SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR
Develop requirement verification matrices for system, subsystem and component designs
Develop and implement metrics to measure product quality and development performance
At least 4 years’ experience in system design, development, integration and verification testing of Military ground vehicles
Must be a US citizen that has or is able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance
DESIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Master of Science in Engineering or related technical degree
Experience in applying Systems Engineering processes and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools to complex project/product solutions
Experience in DoDAF, SysML and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis
Strong technical background in vehicle and robotic mechanics and dynamics
