Job Summary
Aecom is seeking a Project Manager III position supporting both USACE and Air Force clients in the Alaska area who will serve as the AECOM manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of an environmental management project; supervises/mentors the project staff to include multiple Project Engineers, Scientists and Superintendents.
Project Manager III typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment
Manage the project using established project controls and procedures
Perform project and coordination reviews
Communicate with owners, shareholders, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management
Perform project planning, scheduling and cost control
Buy-out of job by determining the sub-contracting strategy for the project and preparing front-end documents and bid processes under various project delivery models
Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external use
Provide mentorship and leadership in the areas of project execution, safety and quality
Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit

We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
Valid driver's license
Due to then nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
BS OR MS degree in Geology/ Engineering or Environmental Science related field
10+ years of Project Management experience working in the environmental industry
10+ years experience working on government projects Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge and training in RCRA, CERCLA a and DOD environmental programs and projects.
Familiarity with DOD QSM and UFPP QAPP with an understanding of SI, RI/FS, RA, and PP and ROD.
Strong technical and communication skills are critical.
Good presentation skills
Strong writing skills with specific experience supporting and preparing required Federal environmental documents.
Review and understanding level of knowledge related to CADD and GIS software with user or operator level experience being a plus
Demonstrated experience working as part of a successful team, meeting client and internal expectations
