Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Scientist to join our team in Arlington, VA. As an Innovation Lead/Subject Matter Expert you will be responsible for developing innovative applications of new and existing SAP technologies.

Position Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science and/or an equivalent technical degree.

- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Department of Defense programs as either a government or contractor employee; not less than 10 years of which are documented in operational assignments and not less than 5 years of which are documented supporting DoD Headquarters level leadership decision making for strategic technology development roadmaps and associated budget planning that integrate Special Access Programs.

A. Develop innovative applications of new and existing SAP technologies, capabilities, and systems. Identify dependencies, gaps, and overlaps with DoD and DoN plans and programs. Research risks and costs of implementation and visualization.

B. Maintain awareness of key cross services and R&D technologies for the purposes of concept and capability integration and visualization.

C. Conduct analysis of threat systems and performance projections from the intelligence community, and report on issues that affect blue systems performance, survivability, and effectiveness.

D. Support processes to enhance digital connectivity and face-to-face collaboration with other key IC, United States Air Force (USAF), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and Industry programs in development for concept integration.

E. Construct a visualization methodology that illustrates the risks and benefits of options for technology integration and investment across naval warfare areas and multiagency collaboration on new technology to negate threat advances.

F. Prepare and present briefing packages as required by N9SP for DoN Leadership regarding pertinent programs which increase United States Navy (USN) system capabilities that use innovative data visualization techniques to illustrate capabilities that use innovative data visualization techniques to illustrate capabilities, threats, integration, and dependencies, using only standard Microsoft Office products.

G. Document, maintain, and update processes to evaluate emerging technologies and visualize dependencies across naval warfare areas at all levels of classification to inform Program Objective Memorandum (POM) decisions, and document how those processes integrate into the DoN POM process.

H. Document, maintain, and update government owned technology roadmaps, training materials, lessons learned, and process maps so that other DoN personnel can learn and apply the methods and processes developed, and use the roadmaps to inform decision-making.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
