Overview:
Administer warehouse operations to assure the requisitioning, receipt, storage, inventory, issue and distribution, redistribution and disposal, stocks, and accountability of all categories of expendable repair parts and supplies, to include logging and processing of requirements generated from contractor's supply points using EPICOR.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as the accountable officer for the SMB Warehouse Section. Assures Purchase Requests are prepared and submitted promptly for materials maintained on the authorized stocks list (ASL) in support of contractor's activities, making sure that all ASL is on hand or order. Administers the prompt and accurate maintenance of an automated stock record system to record all gains, losses, demand data, inventory adjustments, and so forth, to include a functional file system for vouchers and administrative correspondence to support audit-trial accountability, and to maintain a formal set of accounting records of supplies. Issuing all R&I's for Property. Supervises the Billeting, Expendables, Facilities, and central Issue Facility Warehouses. Assures the quality of service (work in-process and completed work) under his supervision conforms to the standing operating procedures, directives and standards. Responsible for cross-training all subordinates in all applicable duties/task associated with the Supply Section, to include full familiarization with the governing Standing Operating Procedures (SOP's) and all duties pertaining to Supply Section. Assures that fire protection and safety measures are practiced and enforced in all open or closed storage areas through visual inspection and corrective action on the spot. Responsible for accountability and maintenance of all assigned property.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education Level: High School plus two years of vocational or university level courses in stock control/inventory management, or equivalent experience in related work.
Experience: Practical experience may be substituted by formal education (college degree or a minimum of two or more years of university-level courses in Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce).
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability: Computer skills gained through a formalized institution. Practical experience or knowledge gained through formal education in the techniques and procedures for inventory management and stock control, particularly in a computerized environment. Should possess above average English Language Skills, both written and verbal. The incumbent should possess a valid driver's license and should be capable of operating a medium-duty forklift truck.
