Job Summary
The Materials Handler Specialist supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality by managing specialty and supply inventory for Cath Lab and/or Surgical Services. Orders, receives, stores, issues and pulls supplies/equipment to support cases and procedures.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

High School graduate or GED
One year of Materials Management, Sterile Core or Sterile Processing experience
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology or successful completion of medical terminology course (in YRMC LMS system) within six months of hire
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
Basic proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to utilize electronic/automated Supply Chain Management Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a sterile work environment
National Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (IAHCSMM)
Infor-Lawson application software experience
