Job Summary
The Radiology Assistant supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality to assist with the work flow within the Imaging Services Department. Duties include, but are not limited to transporting patients for imaging exams, using wheelchair and/or cart, along with oxygen systems and IV systems; observing patient's condition and needs; moving/lifting patients; assisting with medical procedures/exams.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

High School graduate or GED
Must be current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
Within six months of hire complete Restraint Training, Safe Patient Handling, Oxygen Training and Medical Terminology Course (SWANK)

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service

Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows

Preferred Qualifications:

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
