Our Nestle R&D facility is charged with driving innovation and global mastership in the baby food category to meet the unique nutritional and developmental needs of infants and toddlers. We are currently recruiting for a Healthy Snacks Product Development Specialist at our Fremont, Michigan location. This position will report to the Group Manager, Healthy Snacks in the Nestle Development Unit in Orbe, Switzerland.  Main Purpose of Job: Design, plan, validate and implement the development of new products, line extensions, product improvements for Global Healthy Snacks that are in compliance with established food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Lead global projects and/or provide functional expertise on cross-functional project teams, including technical input for internal and external manufacturing start-ups. Key Responsibilities: Innovation/Renovation: Design, execute and analyze experimental approach for product design. Develop information for product/ingredient specifications, in-process control points and testing requirements. Support, coordinate and conduct pilot plant trials and factory scale trials. Must be able to effectively trouble shoot and offer plausible, executable solutions.  Project Management: Lead global projects and/or provide functional/technical input through the planning and decision making process and effectively communicating with senior R&D group management. People: Effectively work cross functionally throughout the organization, including vertically and horizontally.  Nestle is an 'Equal Opportunity Employer' and is looking for diversity in candidates for employment.Minimum 3-5+ years applicable Food Science or related discipline - Bachelors degree with 5+ years of applicable Food Science experience- Masters Degree with 3+ years of applicable Food Science experienceProven ability to work independentlyAdvanced Proficiency in English language Knowledge of:Food technologyTeam leadership and project managementIndustry safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Good understanding of NPDI, GLOBE specification process and PMD creation
