POSITION SUMMARYAccountable for coordinating an engineering project involving manufacturing processes for plant facility. Performs project-engineering work involving design and instruction; conducts work in a manner conducive to its successful completion, considering recognized codes and practices and stated corporate objectives. Supervises assigned technical associates and coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects, ensuring the project objectives are achieved in an optimum manner and with maximum financial efficiency. Prepares engineering documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, project schedules, design specification, instruction, specifications, purchase requisitions, operating manuals and technical reports, initiates for products; encourages the application of new and improved methodologies where appropriate. Serves as a consultant to others as requested or assigned, providing technical information and engineering recommendations to assist others in fulfilling corporate responsibilities or for training purposes. Sterling tools and equipmentEnsure all contractors have the safety and GMP trainingProvide technical support for the new projects during startupsPost Project TasksDevelop PM tasks for new equipmentUpdate contractor scoring database to ensure the right contractors are being chosenSupport training for new equipment for OperationsSupport safety and QA inspections for new equipment.Provide training and transfer knowledge to the maintenance group for new projectsEnsure that spare parts are added to the stock and BOM and obsolete parts are taken outEnsure asset registry is updated and equipment are appropriately taggedManuals and drawings for the new equipment are added to the electronic as well as physical libraryMaintenance TasksComplete maintenance tasks as assigned Identify safety, quality, process, equipment projects, lead efforts to justify them and then execute themHelp maintenance troubleshoot, process and equipment issuesLead and execute all assigned maintenance projectsNon-Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist other areas during periods of downtime, break, etcAttend meetings and carry out other tasks as assignedMaintain a positive working relationship with employeesREQUIREMENTS:• High School Diploma or equivalent• 2 year Technical Degree or relevant work experience General and professional skills• In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance and production planning• Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R)• Communication and service-minded• General understanding of financial analysis, budget reports and relevant business drivers• MS office• Consequence driven maintenance (CDM)• Asset & Maintenance management (AMM)
