Executes on product and market-specific strategies and plans to enhance revenue growth in the Public Sector market. Understands the competitive environment and dynamics affecting assigned Magellan products and services. Monitors and reports on the market dynamics affecting the business interests and goals of Magellan. Maintains and further develops a range of relationships with influencers, decision makers and other stakeholders. Drives strategic efforts to retain, build, and develop targeted business. Key member behind the process of identifying, evaluating, building and implementing new business opportunities that build significant revenue and segment profit.Gathers competitive market intelligence to fully define incumbent performance and competitor strengths and vulnerabilities.Develops comprehensive work plans geared towards capturing new public sector business, including detailed plans on what we need to do “on the ground” with legislators, advocacy groups, providers, lobbyists, state agencies, officials, social service agencies, etc.Increases Magellan’s visibility in targeted states by sharing capabilities with influential parties, attending events (e.g., special summits), sponsoring charitable events, and/or attending fundraisers for key-elected officials.Coordinates the establishment of state-specific Magellan websites in targeted states.Determines any needed licensing requirements.Supports the sales and network teams by maintaining important relationships with the leadership of key strategic business partners. Works to expand relationships with existing contracted providers to create more meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships.Functions as a subject matter expert (SME) for proposal development for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses based on knowledge of the market and intel gathered.Consults with Implementation team for flawless strategic partnership implementation and execution of pull through strategy.Assists with new marketing strategies by supporting value proposition development and the executive management team in new product development; partners with marketing team to develop sales materials as needed.Assists Finance with annual budgeting and forecasting by supplying estimated sales targets, likelihood of sale, and revenue size.
