We are seeking a Patient Care Technician for our Ortho Surgical Unit to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for licensed personnel.

Qualifications Required Job Qualifications Include:

High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider required
Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program required
Certification in Nevada as a Nurse Assistant required

 

 

Additional Requirements:


Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
