AECOM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and high-energized Field Project Specialist for the Central Coast in California. This remote opportunity will provides project management support to deliver projects within the established budget and time line. The Field Project Specialist is a key member of the project team, and participate in project development, and disseminate project information.
Provides technical oversight of subcontractor field teams performing fieldwork related to remedial construction and pipeline abandonment activities.
Provides guidance and direction to subcontractors when addressing complex project problems with respect to health and safety, scope of work tasks, schedule and regulatory compliance.
Assists the Sr. Construction Manager with managing all aspects of the fieldwork, including health and safety, data gathering, data reporting and internal communications with subcontractors and project manager.
Makes fieldwork decisions in accordance with established project plans, scope of work and subcontractor agreements.
Monitor and record fieldwork tasks completed, equipment onsite, subcontractor staff onsite, visitors onsite and sampling and permitting compliance.
Generate weekly and daily progress reports noting percent work complete, changes in scope of work, and/or fieldwork delays.
Assists with development of weekly work schedules and subcontractor resource assignments.
Implement changes to project schedules to ensure compliance with planned work activities, timelines, and completion of major milestones.
Monitor and coordinate with other project team members on scoping and executing fieldwork tasks.
Performs operation and maintenance activities on remedial treatment systems.
Perform fields sampling of soil, groundwater, and vapors in accordance to project requirements.
Performs project scoping site visits to develop bid packages.

Must have a strong understanding of the construction industry regulatory framework and health and safety protocols, procedures and reporting requirements.
Must have solid written, oral, and communication skills.
Must have strong organizational skills and ability to follow documentation procedures.
Must be a self-starter and able to drive project task forward with minimal supervision.
Must possess strong leadership skills and work well in a team environment.
Must have completed the 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training and/or have current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training.
Must have completed 8-hr HAZWOPER Supervisor training.
